AGNES WATER - third stop (02.12.)

On Sunday (01.12.) I went at 5pm from Bundaberg further to Agnes water, which is only 1h 40min drive away. Agnes water is a coastal town and a place in the Gladstone region. Since I arrived at 6.30pm, I could not use the day to explore the area. I didn't know that the Hostel “1770 YHA” offered a shuttle service, so I walked the distance of 700m, which is not the most pleasant when travelling with a very heavy big backpack and suitcase. When I arrived, however, a very nice employee welcomed me and offered me a shuttle to the next city. He carried my heavy backpack up to my room. I had a 6 shared female room with a bathroom. The room was small and all beds taken, back, so you can imagine how chaotic it looked there. I found a small spider directly at the wall, which I killed immediately with the bed sheet. Furthermore I got to know a Swedish girl who shared the room with me. In the evening I sat down in the lounge, which is very comfortable: you can watch Netflix, read books from the big bookshelf or relax in the hammock. The next morning I already went at 7am for free breakfast: made toast and a coffee. As my bus leaves for Rockhampton at 10.30am, I wanted to use the morning to explore. I made my way to the beach through a jungle. I saw a beautiful endless beach, which was almost empty. I walked along the coast, watching the surfers and the waves. Afterwards I strolled through Agnes water. There are some food shops, but the place itself is very small. Who stays here longer should have a look at the nearest village “Seventeen Seventy”, the older part of Agnes water.
